1. A la carte: It is now an English word loaned from French, meaning 'according to the menu'. I see this word every day on the food selection menu in our office canteen but did not stop to wonder if it meant anything more than individual selection. This means that the items mentioned in the menu can be ordered separately and are priced separately, rather than a set meal (like full meal). I thought I knew (from context). Turns out, I guessed it right, but then, it is good to know that once in a while.
2. Leitmotif: Noun; a recurrent theme throughout a musical or literary composition, associated with a particular person, idea, or situation. 
Example: Arvind Kejriwal ended his Republic Day speech with the patriotic song 'Hum honge kaamyaab', a move which is fast becoming his leitmotif. (Source).
Nothing much today. Did not learn any new fact, but a few procedures and concepts. You don't want to know how Google Analytics Campaigns work, or that Laplace Transforms are the generalized case of Continuous Time Fourier Transforms?
